Paperless eForensics Report System


Paperless eForensics Report System As notified by the Govt. of Mizoram, Home Department vide No.F.23018/1/2022-HM(FSL) dated 19th May, 2023, the Mizoram Forensic Science Laboratory will cease to generate hard copy of Forensic Report and go paperless from 1st June, 2023. With the utilization of eforensics platform, Digitally Signed Expert Reports of all the cases sent by Police, Excise & Narcotics department and Anti-Corruption Bureau will be delivered to the concerned Case Forwarding Authority through cyberspace.

Security of the document is maintained in such a way that report of the particular case could be seen and downloaded only by the Case Forwarding Authority after authentication using OTP received in his registered phone and email. This system will ensure speedy and secure receipt of expert reports in real time, it will also dispense authentic reports which is acceptable in the Court. Mizoram FSL becomes the first and foremost forensic laboratory in the country to use this system and go paperless in the generation of Expert Report.
